Nothing would be more tiresome than eating and drinking if God had not made them a pleasure as well as a necessity. ~Voltaire

Meals, Days Thirty-Four and Thirty-Five.
Breakfast on Saturday was a 3 eggs and cream cheese omelette with coffee and cream.
We skipped lunch in favor of a walk downtown, then went to my cousin's for dinner.
After some hors d'oeuvres of fresh mozzarella, smoked salmon and live tapenade, we had dinner of chicken and zucchini, followed by fresh fruit compote with raspberries and white peaches.
On Sunday morning, M and I went out for lunch and had omelettes, with coffee, then M went back to Portland to continue his internship :(. I had chicken for lunch/dinner and zucchini and mushrooms with a glass of wine.
Exciting news: I am going on another trip to England in a few weeks. September 1-13 we will be visiting friends in Manchester and traveling all around the Midlands and northern Wales.
I will try to update you regarding how my experiment of one is doing tomorrow. In the meantime, I'm off to dream of Merry Old England...
