Day 2: .82 cents and counting

OK, I admit, yesterday was a little bit of a cheat since I did save a lot of money by not eating, and then filling up at my cousin's. However, we are talking real life here, and this is the kind of thing you do when you have a small budget for food. You take advantage of opportunities to eat good wholesome food for free whenever possible.

Today will be more normal since I am cooking my own food.

Menu for today:

6am Coffee with organic half and half .82
11am Two hardboiled free range omega3 eggs (.68) and three fresh figs (.74)
7:30pm Grilled pork chop (.94), stir-fried zucchini and mushrooms (.70), guacamole (1.19), Fresh sliced tomatoes ($1.00).

The pork chops are non-organic or free range, but they are very lean, so the fat profile while not ideal is not going to affect me too much. I am going to sauté the vegetables in grass-fed butter (high omega3 and CLA) and I am having eggs today which are also high in Omega 3, so my ratios should be good, and more importantly, my meal will be wonderful!
