Budget results for the week.

I did not post my food for yesterday. To be honest I am already bored with it. Maybe I should just post pictures of new menus and recipes, otherwise you are going to end up seeing the same few meals over and over...I shall keep listing my menus though, as several people have mentioned that they are helpful.

My budget for the week went well. All told we spent about $64.

Yesterday, I Fasted most of the day. Then last night we were invited to a dinner party, and amazingly the food was very paleo-ish. Appetizers were crab cakes, smoked sausage wrapped in bacon, and spinach artichoke dip (with cheese). I had a little of everything. The main dish was prime rib with potatoes au gratin and stir-fried vegetables. I skipped the potatoes and asked for two servings of veggies. We had a side salad of mixed greens with cucumber, and a small creme brulee for dessert. I also had a couple of glasses of really nice red wine. All told I feel pretty good about what we ate, and how I did...and have had no repercussions so far. My LS seems to be doing well this week, and I have dropped a total of three pounds, which is a nice bonus. My averages for the week are 1500 calories a day, 86 grams of fat, 88 grams of carbohydrate, and 90 grams of protein.

Today so far, I have not eaten. Dinner is going to be Karney's paleo stuff with tomato (only one small one) and avocado. Maybe a drizzle of olive oil and a pinch of salt. I am walking every night, not a lot, just a few miles, I find it very stress-relieving. I take days off randomly--this week it was Wednesday and Friday.

I have requested through the library several of the articles Robb Wolf cites in his book in the hope that they will shed some light on the autoimmune implications of red tomatoes and eggplant. In the meantime I am not going crazy with tomato just in case it causes a problem for me, however, so far I seem to be OK.

A new week begins tomorrow, I'll try to come up with some interesting new recipes this week, so that I don't bore you to death... :)
